Dean of Students, Shannon Lander

Ms. Lander received her Undergraduate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a dual minor in Kinesiology and Elementary Education from the University of North Texas in 2001. She received her Master's degree in Education Administration from Lamar University in 2009.  

Ms. Lander is beginning her 18th year in education and her 13th in administration. She began her educational career as a 6th grade Reading and Science teacher in Little Elm ISD, and an 8th grade science teacher in Allen ISD. Ms. Lander has a love of curriculum and instruction and shared that love with other teachers as a Science Instructional Specialist in Allen ISD for 4-12 grades.  

Ms. Lander served as a House principal at Allen High School from 2013-2018 where she worked with students and supervised the Science and English Departments. She has also been an assistant principal in Forney ISD and a Middle School Principal in Sanger ISD. 

Ms. Lander is married and has two children ages 20 and 17.  She loves listening to live music, singing, being outdoors and is an avid football fan.
