My name is SarahLyn Coker and I have been teaching Art at Daugherty Elementary since 2019. I grew up in East Dallas, however I spent almost ten years in the San Marcos/Austin area where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Art Education at Texas State University.
I love exploring a variety of art techniques and sharing different artists and theirwork with our students. I especially enjoy helping our students discover new concepts and skills that build their confidence and spark their curiosity. Watching our students develop their skills and find their own unique ability in Art is the best part of being their teacher.
I am inspired by nature and travel, as I love being outside and experiencing different cultures. I bring that inspiration into our Art room through the diverse projects we create.
