Please be mindful of the days your student comes to P.E. during the week.

Make sure that your student has the correct shoes, that means that students must wear tennis shoes. And shoes that easy and fasten to lace. Theses shoes are not allowed:

• Sandals
• Flip Flops
• Boots
• High Heels
• Dress shoes

Wearing the inappropriate shoes will decrease your students overall grade. This means they will be missing activities.

My name is Jake Klem. I am the PE teacher at Daugherty Elementary. This is my first year as a teacher. I graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce and received my degree in Sociology. I enjoy teaching PE because it is something I am passionate about. Being able to take care of your body is very important. I am excited to get my teaching career started in Garland ISD.
