Distance learning opportunities
Visit the library story times on google meets every Thursday. There will be a picture book at 2:45 and chapter book at 3:00 Ask your teacher for the code or visit the library Canvas page.
You can still check out books from the Dorsey library while you're learning at home. Simply fill out this form.
Books that are currently checked out can be returned. There is a tub to return books in on the picnic tables in the back of the school next to the library. The tub will be out there 8:30-10:00 AM Tuesdays and Fridays. If you turn in a book please turn around and exit Dexham Road to avoid the playground.
Students have the opportunity to read 2x2 and Bluebonnet books. When they read they earn prizes and rewards. Make sure to login to your google account before you access the link.
Tips from the librarian
Please keep library books in a safe place away from pets and younger siblings when they are not being read.
Books are due 2 weeks after checkout. If you want to renew your books, please send an email to Ms. Simpson or Ms. Saye. If it is on hold for another student, you will need to return the book. Please return your library books as soon as possible so that other students may enjoy them.
If the book is lost or damaged, please let us know. We will send a notice of the book's cost if it is lost or if we cannot repair it so that we may replace the book. If you find the lost book within 1 year, you will get your money back.
Find books, ebooks, and other resources by visiting your school's library catalog. If you need help with any of these resources, please contact your school librarian.
