Dear Sewell Elementary Families,

Your child's safety on campus is of the utmost concern to the district. We will remain vigilant in providing a safe school environment conducive to teaching and learning. As part of keeping our campuses safe, Garland ISD, in cooperation with local police departments, will hold regular secure, hold and lockdown drills at Sewell Elementary to better inform our students and staff on how to react to threats.

On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, we will hold one of these safety drills. You will see a more extensive police and security presence on campus on this day. Please do not be alarmed.
