Lauren Jeffries - Principal

Greetings to families and friends of Freeman Elementary School!   I look forward to partnering with the dedicated staff and community at Freeman Elementary to continue to provide the very best educational environment for each of our students.  I am also eager to collaborate with you as we work together to ensure success for every child, every day.

I’m truly enthusiastic to serve Freeman  Elementary in this capacity and to continue my journey as an educator.  My dedication to the students of Garland ISD began in 2017.  I also served in neighboring Mesquite ISD for many years before joining Garland ISD.  I previously served as the assistant principal at Glen B. Couch Elementary for the past five years.  

 

As Principal, my vision for Freeman Elementary is to prepare and motivate students in an ever changing environment and equip them with critical thinking skills, demonstrate respect for core values, and display success for today and in the future.  With a strong commitment to these ideas, we can make our school and community the best it has ever been!

I'm so excited to be back at Freeman in my new role as Assistant Principal. I have a BA in Social Science with an Elementary Education Concentration and a MA in Special Education. This is my 15th year in education. I have taught grades 4th-6th and was an Instruction Support Teacher, here at Freeman, for 2 years. I'm looking forward to working alongside you.
