Activities
AVID
The AVID Program prepares students in academics for college and career readiness. It has a proven track record in bringing out the best in students, and in closing the achievement gap. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination.
Book fair
Book Fairs are held twice a year-one in the fall and one in the spring. Book Fair books encourage students to read as well as help raise funds to purchase more books and resources for our library.
Red Ribbon week
This program is to encourage and educate students to be drug free. Red Ribbon Week takes place during the last week of October.
HERO week
Every year countless children are victims of various kinds of bullying and violence, but they don't know where to turn for help. Throughout Garland Independent School District, campuses are taking measures so that no one has to endure this misery. Helping Everyone Respect Others Week puts a spotlight on helping children see how they can make a difference in the lives of their peers by knowing how and where to turn for help.
