Annual Title I Parent Meeting

Volunteer icon

Watson MST is a Title I school. Title I schools receive additional funding from the federal government that we use to improve student achievement and benefit all students. We encourage you to attend to learn how we use those funds and answer any questions you have.

The next meeting time and date will be announced.

Thursday Folder Team - If you are able to be at Watson Thursday mornings to assist in putting items together to distribute to parents in the Thursday Folder please contact our PTA President,  Stephanie Pasher.

These amazing ladies help us each week to prepare our Thursday Express folders for distribution. We can not thank them enough for their hard work and assistance with this task, but our fourth grade teachers tried by surprising them with breakfast one morning. See them in action in the video below:

Volunteer with Watch DADS

Volunteer icon

WatchDADS is a great way for you to get involved at Watson.

What is WatchDADS?

WatchDADS is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering.

What are the goals of a WatchDADS program?

1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.

2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Who are WatchDADS and how does WatchDADS work?

WatchDADS logo

WatchDADS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WatchDADS school.

What do WatchDADS do (while they are at school)?

You will be provided with a detailed schedule so you do not have to worry about anything. During the day, WatchDADS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, patrol the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well.

How do I sign up for a day to be a WatchDADS?

Watch for information in the Thursday folders for WatchDADS night!
