Attendance matters. Make changes that help.
Students that are chronically absent have a higher probability of dropping out of high school. You can help improve attendance by letting your child know you believe school is important. You can set the expectation that curfew is non-negotiable on school nights, lateness is unacceptable behavior, and that you do not support leaving school early. Other ways to help are setting a regular bed time, creating a plan to arrive at school on time, checking on your child's attendance, and always turning in excuse notes within three days.

Parents sign in students at their designated vehicles for the first 10 days of enrollment at GAEC. Administration can require additional sign-ins or parent contact as needed.
