Mrs. Altieri grew up in Garland and attended South Garland High School. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in leadership development. Upon graduation, she began a career in corporate America, where she spent 7 years in Accounting and Mortgage Servicing with two Fortune 500 companies. With a heart for service, she felt called to education with the dream of making a difference and changing lives. She received her master's degree in educational leadership from Lamar University in 2013.
She taught at Naaman Forest High School for 5 years before moving to Dallas ISD to be a part of the Leadership Development Fellows Academy. Altieri then spent 3 years in Dallas ISD as an instructional coach, followed by one year in Richardson ISD as an instructional coach before returning to Garland ISD as an assistant principal at Coyle Middle School from 2019-2023. During her time in education, she has served at every grade level PK-12.
Altieri would describe herself as a servant leader with a heart for people and a passion for quality instruction driven by data. However, she would rather people see that in action than to say it herself. She is honored and excited to serve the owls and to call GHS "home"!
Mrs. Altieri is married to her husband, J.T. for 18 years and has 2 children (15 and 17). She enjoys music, dancing, camping, riding ATVs, quality time with friends and family, and visiting mountains and beaches.

The pride of his life are his 5 grandchildren, Holden, Marshall, Maddox, Harper, and Charlie!
