Garland High School takes great pride in its Fine Arts Department. The Fine Arts Department at Garland High School offers advanced classes in visual and performing arts, such as Band, Choir, Film, Guitar, Music Theory, Orchestra, Piano, Theatre and Visual Arts.

Garland High School is also home to the Academy of Fine Arts magnet. Students in the Academy are able to hone their artistic skills through rigorous and accelerated coursework as well as interacting with local and global artists in their fields.
