Guitar

Students playing guitar in class

The Guitar program offers a comprehensive course of study in classical guitar performance. Guitar I serves as an introductory class that teaches fundamental musical concepts and playing techniques, while also preparing students for more advanced levels. This entry-level course, which fulfills a state-approved fine arts credit, progresses at a comfortable pace for beginners.

Guitar II, III, and IV focus on performing pieces from the standard classical repertoire and are structured with college entrance requirements in mind.

Students in the program have earned scholarships, won performance competition medals, and received assistantships from major university guitar departments.
