My name is Vanessa Huff and I am the Assistant Principal at Golden Meadows Elementary. I received my BSIS in Elementary Education and my Masters in Education from Texas A&M Commerce. After graduating from Texas A&M Commerce I began my career as a primary teacher in Mesquite ISD. In 2010 I moved to Garland ISD to teach an Intermediate grade, followed by two years in a campus support position where I assisted teachers in both instructional practice and classroom management strategies.
I am deeply committed to improving academic achievement and building lifelong learning skills for all students. I have a special interest instructional best practice that supports the unique learning needs of students from multi-cultural and socially diverse backgrounds.
In my spare time I enjoy watching football, camping, outdoor sports, and being a mom. I am married and the mother of three beautiful children.
I look forward to helping our students reach their full potential while also meeting their social emotional needs.
