How do I have lunch with my child?

Lunch will be open campus this year; however, there will be limited seating per lunch period. You will be required to sign up to reserve a space to join your child for lunch. Please utilize the sign up link that is in this correspondence and will be available on our school website. You will not be permitted to have lunch with your child if you are not on our sign up, which will be monitored daily. 

Arrival Updates

The school day begins at 8:10 a.m.

Students may begin arrival at 7:30 a.m. When arriving to school before 8:00 a.m., students should report to their designated area.

Kindergarten: In the gym.

1st grade and 2nd grade: In the gym.

3rd: In the gym.

4th grade: Computer Lab

5th grade: Library. This is not a time to check out books. Students will come to the library with their class each week to check out books. 

The cafeteria begins serving breakfast at 7:30 a.m. every student is eligible for a free breakfast each school day. 

Dismissal Updates

The school day ends at 3:30 p.m.

In our ongoing efforts to enhance your children’s safety, we will use the PikMyKid Dismissal Application. Throughout the country, it has been proven to simplify dismissal, reduce traffic congestion, and most importantly, improve overall safety.

The unique features of PikMyKid allow you, as parents, to easily change pick up modes, quickly delegate to an alternate individual for pickup, change to an ‘After School’ program, and even schedule for future pickup mode, pickup individual, and after school programs. This app allows you to be in full control of your child’s dismissal and it gives us, the school, complete information regarding dismissal and the ability to acknowledge every change and to instantly check your child’s dismissal status should you have a question.

We are very excited about this addition and know you will be too.  We will have a safer, quicker, and more efficient dismissal process. To learn a little more on your own, please check out the following link that will show you a few of the PikMyKid features.  

• K - 5th grade car riders will be dismissed from their classrooms. Parents will stay in their cars in line A or B. Parents are to stay in their cars. Please do not get out and help your child get into the car. Please do not get out to help buckle car seats. 
• Bus riders will be dismissed from the gym.
• Park and ride students will be dismissed from the gate near the teacher parking lot.  Parents should park across the street or in the neighborhood. Please bring your PikMykid number card with you. This is located under the graduation hat on the map.
• Walkers who are walking home without parents will be escorted to the crosswalks. 

If there is a change in how a student goes home, parents/guardians must write a note stating how the child/children will go home. Parents may also call the office to communicate a change in after school transportation before 2:30 p.m. Students will not be allowed to change their dismissal procedure without a note or phone call from parent.

Students whose parents park across the street will be dismissed at the gate nearest to the teacher parking lot. These students are called park and ride. 

Please be sure to let the classroom teacher know how the student is to be released at dismissal. No changes made after 2:30 will be allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
