Learn about the ID Badge requirement for 2026-27
This year, students of all grades must have their ID badge on at all times and use it when boarding or exiting the bus. Learn more on the GISD Student ID Badges page.
Save the date for orientation
Attend our porch party or orientation to start the year off right. Check the GISD Back-to-School Events page for a complete list of orientation events or the school website calendar for information.
Buy school supplies
We have a generic list of the school supplies students will need on the district's School Supplies page. Campus-specific lists can be found on our school supplies page.
Get required immunizations
Parents need to submit student immunization records for a smooth start to school. Visit the district immunizations page for a list of required and recommended immunizations.
Complete Back-to-School Student Information Update Forms
Each year, parents must complete the Back-to-School Forms so that both parents and schools have the information they need for the year. These forms can be completed in Skyward Family Access. For more information about each form, visit the Student Information Update Forms page.
