Ms. O'Bryant is the music teacher at Hillside Academy. She has a Master's Degree in Music Education from Southern Methodist University. Ms. O'Bryant also has a piano performance degree from Dallas Baptist University. 

Music at Hillside

Students go to music class once a week for 50 minutes.

Students learn a variety of terms, symbols, games, dances, and about instruments in music class. The Fine Arts department provides transportation each year for third graders to attend a play at a local high school and for fourth graders to see and hear the Garland Symphony Orchestra perform.

Fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to play a string instrument in addition to regular music class. Please refer to the Orchestra section of the website.
