The Hillside string program is designed for 4th and 5th grade students desiring to play violin, viola, cello, string bass and harp. Students need no prior musical training to enroll in group classes. Lessons are provided weekly at the intervention block during the regular school day. HAE Level 2 Strings proudly boast of receiving unanimous superior ratings at local music festivals for the past 20 years. 

Solo/Ensemble competition

Each year our Hillside Orchestra students perform in the Garland ISD Solo/Ensemble Festival.
