NAACP Award
Students from Hudson Middle School received the Goldie Locke EXCEL Award! This special award was presented by the Garland Chapter of the NAACP. The EXCEL Award was created to encourage students who work hard and show academic achievement. Goldie Locke was a founding member of the Garland Branch NAACP and served as President. She hoped the award would reach middle school youth who were not being recognized for their hard work and character.
