The Evening Study Center is offering free classes for adult family members of English Learners. Registration is open July 20-August 20.

There are some great summer reading programs that your kids will definitely want to check out. Did you know that residents of Rowlett can use the Garland libraries and vice versa??

Drake Williams, a fifth-grade student in Mrs. Valdez' class, is the recipient of the 2021 Goldie Locke Excel Award at Keeley. The Excel award was created to encourage students who work diligently and show academic achievement. Congratulations!

Two of Keeley's fifth-grade students, Natalie Mendez and Christopher Franco, are the recipients of the Joe Garcia New Image Award.The New Image award was created to honor students who exemplify a positive attitude, hard work and dedication towards their schoolwork and teachers. Congratulations!

One of Keeley's very own kindergarten teachers, Mary Crowe, is now a published author. She wrote and illustrated her first children's book titled Dee N D which is now available on Amazon. We are all so proud of her. If you happen to buy the book, she would love to doodle a little something in the front to make it special. Congratulations!

We know you have been taking pictures in this not so normal school year. In order to make sure that all of the student body of Keeley is represented, and to ensure diversity in the yearbook, we need your photos. The photos can be snow pictures, fun run, Christmas and Valentine parties, virtual classrooms, Trunk or Treat photos, etc.  The deadline to submit photos for consideration or to order your yearbook is Friday, April 30. 


For all incoming kindergarteners and their parents.

Kindergarteners and parents, join us from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. for Kindergarten Round-Up! You will meet your teacher and they will answer questions about the upcoming year during an informational meeting. Please also budget time after to sign-in to Skyward in the computer lab.

Bring with you:

  • school supplies in a box or bag marked with your student's name
  • $5 cash for student take-home folders
  • $10 cash or check to join the PTA

Supplies are listed by grade on the school's website under Academics if you have not purchased them yet.

(Every other grade will join us for Porch Party on July 29.)

Come meet your teacher and drop off supplies!

Join us for Porch Party! This is a come and go event for grades 1 through 5 (kindergarten's event is July 28). Meet your teacher, see your friends, and drop off your supplies. There are 2 sessions (6:00 - 6:30 and 6:30 - 7:00) and parents can choose either session to attend.

Supplies are listed on the school's website under Academics if you have not purchased them yet.

If you would like the join the PTA, bring $10 cash or check.

Come decorate our walkways!

Come up any time Sunday, August 1 with your sidewalk chalk to leave words of encouragement for students' first day of school. Help decorate the sidewalks and student entrance porch.
