Mrs. Sheri Winstead, Principal

My name is Sheri Winstead and I am the Principal at Keeley Elementary. I have served as an educator in Garland ISD since 1996. I am a Garland girl at heart; starting as a Weaver Eagle, moving on to become a Sellers Shark and, of course, being a Garland Owl. Gig'em Owls!

Throughout my career, I have held a variety of positions that have helped me gain an understanding of what it truly means to educate a child. My role as an elementary instructor taught me never to underestimate the importance of a child's educational foundation as a catalyst to their success. As a district support specialist, working with Pre-K through 12th grade teachers and administrators, I have discovered that the most important pieces to the educational puzzle are the teachers and their impact on each student they serve.

I am excited to be a part of the Keeley Elementary family. Go Cowboys!

Mrs. Leticia Arthur, Assistant Principal

Hello!  My name is Leticia "Letty" Arthur and I am honored to be Keeley's Assistance Principal.  I have been an educator for over 18 years, serving Garland ISD since 2012.  I started in GISD as a Dual Language Spanish-English Teacher at Bullock, then went to the ACE program at Hadley and after that I was a district's Bilingual Instructional Specialist.  I was blessed to join the Keeley family in 2021.

Before coming to GISD, I had the opportunity to experience education in three different countries:  Dominican Republic, Italy and Mexico.  I also taught at the university, high school and middle school levels. Prior to that I worked in the international commerce field as an Import/Export Coordinator. I earned a bachelor's in International Studies, a masters in Logistics and various certifications in education.  I made the transition to teaching once I became a mother and realized how important it is to nurture our children with love, ethics and knowledge.  I am married and the proud mother of two boys and a girl as well as a furry son.

I believe every student can learn and grow.  We need to take time to get to know children and motivate them to be the best version of themselves. Each student, teacher, staff and family at Keeley deserves my very best and I am committed to give that every single day.  Go Cowboys!
