Keeley delivers quality instructional programs for all students. We focus on a child-centered philosophy and set high expectations for all to achieve. We insist on a well-disciplined student body and a safe environment for children to learn. We want every child to have the competence and confidence for success in life.
Keeley will host two award assemblies each school year and parents are invited to attend. The first one will be held at the end of the fall semester and the second one will be at the end of the spring semester. The assemblies will recognize students for the following:
- "A" honor roll (90% and higher in all core subjects/S in all specials classes for the three previous grading cycles)
- "A/B" honor roll (80% and higher in all core subjects with a minimum one subject 90% or higher/S in all specials for the three previous grading cycles)
- Wrangler (one good citizen or overall great kid)
- Character (one student who best exhibits the character trait of the grading cycle)
- Extra effort (one boy and one girl who puts forth the extra effort - even if they don't make an A/B
- AR (one boy and one girl who meet the requirements of the grading cycle)
- Perfect attendance
Every day, Keeley Elementary students utilize a computer lab equipped with 66 computers as well as iPads and Chromebooks that may be checked out to classes. Each classroom has three student Chromebooks and a teacher station complete with a computer, web camera, and projector.
Academic computer programs
The Accelerated Reader is a highly effective program that Keeley uses in motivating our students to read. Students receive instant feedback when comprehension tests are taken. Keeley credits our AR program for our extreme success in state assessments.
Our partnership with Renaissance Learning has provided access to a new resource, myON Reader. This partnership will provide students with thousands of books and daily news articles that match their interest and reading levels. Students will be able to access this new resource at school and at home. Students that do not have online access at home will be able to download books that can be read offline. You may download up to 20 books to a device for offline reading.
Dimension U creates engaging and interactive multiplayer video games that focus on core skills in mathematics and literacy. The content aligns with the Common Core, state standards and classroom instruction. These games are for our third, fourth, and fifth-grade students.
This computer program allows third, fourth, and fifth-grade students to work on their reading comprehension, vocabulary fluency, and spelling. Istation is also available for students at home. Parents will need to install Istation and students will need their student login number and password.
With this program, students can practice their current weekly spelling words in a fun and effective way using this great online resource at home as well as at school.
Sumdog's educational games motivate children to work on math in an entertaining way. This learning engine ensures questions are personalized for each child's ability and moves them forward automatically. To access this program at home, students will need to know their login, password and school code.
Brain Pop and Brain Pop, Jr.
This animated educational program is game based learning in Science, Math, Social Studies, and English. It is only available during school hours.
This computer program helps students build core literacy skills through engagement, mastery, and student creativity. This program uses educational hip-hop videos that teach standards-based skills and context.
Imagine Language & Literacy
This program provides every child with targeted instruction within an individualized learning path that continually adjust to their needs. This is a research-based curriculum that meets students at their own level. This program is for our Kindergarten through 5th grade students.
Imagine Math Facts
Imagine Math Facts teaches students math facts through a series of powerful, engaging activities on multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. This program helps each child quickly gain math fluency along with an interest in math. This program is for our 1st through 5th grade students.
Imagine Math helps students build problem-solving skills and a resilient attitude toward math. This curriculum adapts to the unique needs of each student and is always supported by meaningful practice. This program is for our Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

DimensionU consists of four engaging and interactive multiplayer video games that focus on core skills in math and literacy. Each game is designed with unique features that bring out distinct academic and strategic skills in students.
Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.
Our middle and high school students collaborate with parents, teachers and school counselors to create a personalized college & career plan with Naviance.
