Book Club

Every month Mrs. Clayton hosts book club for about 20 to 25 of her Reading students. These students meet once a week in her classroom during lunch. Mrs. Clayton choses a book and gets class sets to hand out to the students. The students read up to a certain point in the book and then it is discussed in their weekly gathering.  These kids have a love for reading and it's great fun talking with them and getting their opinions and perspectives about the book.

Allaso Ranch

Our fifth-grade students went to camp at Allaso Ranch on February 22 for three days. This camp is about two hours away and is near Lake Hawkins. Students had a wonderful time horseback riding, ziplining, canoeing, as well as many other activities.

Reading rocks!

Mrs. Clayton's fifth-grade students get comfy in the classroom as they read self-selected material for twenty minutes every day.
