Researchers have evidence for the positive effects of parent involvement on children when schools and parents support and encourage their children's learning and development. Students with involved parents earn higher grades and test scores, have better social skills and show improved behavior.

Policies & procedures

Please check out our policies and procedures page on the Keeley website which has information regarding everything from school arrival to student medication. 

School Visitation

If you need to drop off items or leave messages for your child, our wonderful office staff will assist you. Individually wrapped, store bought items can be brought for student birthdays. No balloons, drinks, or party favors may be brought. 

School meals

You can get all of the school meal information such as lunch and breakfast menus, meal prices, and how to pre-pay for school meals online, and how to apply for free or reduced meals from the Garland ISD district website.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served every morning between 7:30-8:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria. Outside food and drinks are not allowed for breakfast. 

Lunch

Parental lunch visits and food drop off will NOT be permitted at this time. 

Birthdays on the marquee

You may wish your child a happy birthday on the Keeley Marquee! Summer birthdays can be recognized on their half birthday. Requests must be made two weeks prior to the requested date. Student will receive a spirit stick for their backpack with your $5 paid birthday. Payment and confirmation is required and reservations are honored in the order they are received. Newsroom

Newsroom is a one-stop shop for all the news, photos, tweets, videos and external news media coverage for Garland ISD. At the beginning of each month, a Skylert email will be sent to families and staff that provides recent news and a quick link to the Newsroom webpage to keep everyone in the know about the good news in GISD.

Register with Skyward

Skyward Key

Skyward is the student information system in GISD that allows parents to see their child's grades, attendance, view report cards, as well as contact teachers. To register, you will provide us with your email address and it will be entered into Skyward. Skyward will then email you your login information. If you have any questions, please contact our data clerk, Lily Hernandez.

Free medical care

Students can receive virtual doctor visits straight from the school clinic or from home.
