National Blue Ribbon School

National Blue Ribbon seal

Kimberlin has been named a National Blue Ribbon school three times. There is only one other elementary school in the state to earn such a recognition. Kimberlin received these awards in 2015, 1999, and 1992. A school is only eligible to receive this recognition once every five years based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.

Kimberlin is college and career ready!

What does it mean to be ready?

For the best chance of a making your visions of success a reality, preparing for your future has to start much earlier than graduation.

The GISD Ready initiative transforms teaching and learning to ensure we meet the needs of 21st-century learners and that graduates are prepared for success in a globally competitive workforce.

Every day at Kimberlin, students can be seen busy in action during their enrichment block. STEAM projects incorporate 21st-century skills by providing students the opportunity to work together on projects that involve Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Each grade level has their own projects.

Students at Kimberlin  participate each year in the worldwide event, Hour of Code. They learn to code through fun videos and games at
