At Kimberlin Academy we celebrate our Knights achievements throughout their academic careers. We applaud three of our graduates who have received the prestigious Brockman Scholarship.
The scholarship is offered yearly to 50 U.S. resident students and international students. In the two years since its inception, four students from Garland ISD earned this scholarship. All four of these recipients participated in the academy programs through GISD and three of them attended Kimberlin Academy for Excellence.
Initiated in the 2018-19 academic year, the Brockman Scholarship is a merit-based full scholarship that covers five years of study at Texas A&M University in College Station. The scholarship supports four years of undergraduate studies in an approved program of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), as well as the one-year MS Business graduate degree program at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School.
The Brockman Scholarship covers tuition fees in full for both in-state and out-of-state students. It also provides for room and board, transportation, books and supplies, and one overseas study opportunity.
The Brockman Foundation has supported worthy initiatives in the areas of education and medical research for more than three decades. They believe that they can help to create a better world by supporting the people who are most likely to improve it. The activities of the Brockman Foundation are made possible by a trust established by A. Eugene Brockman, a man who believed strongly that gifted individuals could help to create a better world for us all.
