Students perform for retired teachers

On December 10th a select group of fifth grade orchestra students went to First Baptist Church of Garland to perform for the GISD Retired Teacher Luncheon. After the performance, members of the group gave lessons on how to play their instrument to some of the teachers. A great time was had by all.

All 4th-grade students attend a Garland Symphony Orchestra concert each year. The Garland

Symphony Orchestra's website is an awesome resource.

The Dallas Symphony website is also a great source of information. See and hear every instrument; listen to pieces from different composers; play music memory, music theory, and music history games.

The New York Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the best orchestra sites for children on the internet today. (Many games, viewing, and listening sites)
