Parent Square
With ParentSquare, you can:
- Get all district, campus, and classroom communication via email, text, call, or app
- Easily sign permission slips, send payments, and get important student documents
- View the classroom calendar, schedule parent-teacher meetings, and sign up for events
- Message directly with teachers and administrators
- Customize language and other details for email, text, and app notifications
Families can access ParentSquare via the online portal or on the app.
Any incorrect information can be updated in Skyward Family Access.
Lunch
As always, the school menus for breakfast and lunch can be found on the SchoolCafe website or app.
🍽️ Lunch Visitor Guidelines

🍽️ Limited spots: We are able to host up to six families per grade level each day.

✅ Confirmed reservations only: Families must have a confirmed slot on Sign-Up Genius in order to join their child for lunch.

🔒The sign-up is only sent out by Mrs. Cram through Kimberlin Connections via Skyward or ParentSquare.

📅 One visit per month: Each family may sign up for one lunch visit per month to ensure all families have the opportunity to participate.

👨👩👧👦 Visitor limit: Up to four visitors per student are permitted (this includes siblings).

🥪 Food guidelines: Outside food is welcome, but may be shared with your student only.

🪑 Seating: Lunch visits are for your child only; classmates and friends may not join.

🔔 Courtesy cancellations: If you are unable to attend, please notify the office so another family may use the spot. Families who miss more than one visit without notice may lose future sign-up opportunities.

🏫 Check-in required: All visitors must check in at the front office with a valid ID before heading to the cafeteria.

⏰ Stay on schedule: Students must line up with their class when the lunch period ends. Families may not remain in the cafeteria once students return to class.

Garland ISD is at your fingertips! The district mobile app houses news, events, student resources and more. Our mobile app is ready to help you stay #gisdalwaysconnected. The app is available on Google Play and the App Store. When first starting the app, you will have a chance to do the setup and select the individual school(s) you want to follow.
Watch D.O.G.S.
Watch D.O.G.S. is a one-of-a-kind, school-based father involvement program that works to support education and safety. Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer at least one day a year. A variety of school activities are assigned by the school principal or other administrator. These men serve as positive role models, encourage and inspire students, and even increase school safety.

Charlotte Ballard, Counselor and Watch D.O.G.S. School liaison, will provide a detailed schedule and information about the day. Watch D.O.G.S. are welcome most Fridays during the school year.
