Mrs. Carter is thrilled to be part of the Lakeview Centennial High School community, serving as an assistant principal since September 2022. Prior to 2022, she spent three years as an assistant principal at Sam Houston Middle School and eight years as a Secondary Instructional Design Facilitator for Science in Garland ISD. Her teaching experience includes instructing 8th grade science, Biology, and serving as a campus instructional coach. She is a proud graduate of Jackson State University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Mrs. Carter genuinely enjoys the challenges of educating students and eagerly anticipates new learning opportunities every day.

Mrs. Harmon is in her third year as assistant principal at LCHS, but this is her 27th year in education and in Garland ISD. She graduated from Texas A&M in 1997 and began her teaching career at Brandenburg Middle School. There she taught English, reading, and Latin. She earned her masters in educational leadership in 2009 from Lamar University and worked one year as an instructional specialist in ELA. She returned to Brandenburg in 2013 as assistant principal before moving to LCHS in 2022.
Being in high school has been the most rewarding experience of her educational career. Seeing students cross the finish line at graduation and begin their exciting life adventures is the best part of being an educator. Mrs. Harmon is honored to work with the math and ELA departments at LC.
Mrs. Harmon lives in Rowlett with her husband, son, and her mom. She loves to read, craft, paint, and spend time with her family. She is honored to work with the entire staff at LC and is ready to start this new year!

Mr. Freeman is entering his 27th year in public education, all of which have been serving schools in Garland ISD. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Political Science & History. He spent seven years as a social studies teacher at O’Banion Middle School before moving into campus administration, spending time at South Garland High School and the Classical Center at Brandenburg Middle School, prior to joining the staff at LCHS in January of 2023.
Mr. Freeman received his Master’s degree in Educational Administration in 2002 from Texas A&M University - Commerce. Mr. Freeman is married to his wife Selenda and has two sons Connor, who graduated from Plano Senior HS and is currently at Texas State University, and Cole, who will be a senior at Sachse High School this coming up year. He enjoys time with his family, music, movies, country dancing, and vacations to the beach or mountains. #WeAreLC

Marquis McClean is entering his 28th year in his educational journey, including 12 in Garland ISD. Career and Technical education has always been in his DNA. Marquis has served at nearly every level in education. His previous experiences include serving as CTE Teacher and 1:1 Instructional Coach before becoming an assistant principal at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland ISD. Throughout his educational career, Marquis has always remained a leader as he served at every level from Elementary through High School. As a high school Assistant Principal, Marquis has made a positive impact on instruction in every area of instruction, including Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and Career and Technical Education.
Marquis is all about connecting with people. While serving in Garland ISD, he has maintained the educational standard at Lakeview Centennial High School through four administrations. He has ensured his principal leaders have had smooth transitions while bridging the gaps between old and new systems. Marquis has remained a valued asset to Garland and the surrounding communities. Marquis is devoted to continued personal growth and improving his capacity for leadership and can’t wait for the next opportunity to lead in Garland ISD.
Marquis is married to his wife Vivian (20 years). He has one daughter, Hannah. He enjoys books, all types of music, movies, barbecuing, cruising, and family vacations. #WeAreLC #BeRevolutionary #LCFamily
