Q. What’s Included in My Session Fee?
A. Your session fee includes your time in front of the camera. Prints, packages, and wall art are an additional charge. Retouching is included with Elite and Most Popular sessions.
Q. What Makes Senior Portraits Different?
A. Senior year is a huge accomplishment, and this life event should be celebrated with photography. CADY is the only photography company with state-of-the-art studios built exclusively to celebrate seniors. Whether you just want the basics or the full VIP experience with a private photographer, hair and make-up styling, and photography on location, your senior portraits will be a memorable experience.
Q. How Do I Prepare?
A. Once you’ve booked your session, it’s time to choose what you’ll wear and bring. Your portraits should reflect your personality and show what makes you unique. Be sure to check your email reminders for helpful tips on how to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Q. When Do I Take My Cap & Gown Photos?
A. Cap & Gown portraits are taken at the same time as Senior portraits, though release timing may vary by school. In most cases, these images are made available in the spring, closer to graduation. Details about separate package and retouching options will be provided when Cap & Gown images are released. Please note that most Senior portrait packages and orders do not include Cap & Gown images. Some exclusions may apply.
Q. Will CADY Come to My School?
A. Yes, we will offer on-campus sessions, which we call Roadshows. Roadshows cover the basics, but have a limited scene selection. For the best experience, we recommend booking a session at one of our studios.
Q. What About My Yearbook Photo?
A. All sessions include your required yearbook photo(s) scene(s). CADY takes care of submitting the senior portraits to the school for inclusion in the yearbook. Prints or digitals are available for purchase separately.
Q. Do I Need to Bring My Own Cap & Gown, Pearls, and Tux?
A. Nope! We will provide your cap, gown, tassel, tuxedo, tux shirt, bow tie, drape, and pearls. Wearing a tux, bring a white undershirt. Wearing a drape, bring a spaghetti-strap or strapless tank.
Q. Traditional, Most Popular, or Elite Session?
A. If you want the basics, a Traditional session is right for you. If you want a few scenes, and an outdoor scene, you’d love a Most Popular session. If you want the full VIP experience, go Elite! You’ll get a private photographer, hair and make-up styling options, unlimited studio scenes, destination scenes, and more.
Q. What Do I Bring?
A. Your photos should showcase your personality, so bring what is most special to you. Friends and family, pets, and props that reflect your interests. For more ideas check out cady.com/sessionprep.
Q. How Do I See My Photos?
A. After your session, your senior portraits will go through processing before they are available for viewing. Traditional sessions typically get printed proofs of all your images, delivered by mail in a Portfolio display, which is available for purchase and not included in your session fee. If you select an Elite or Most Popular session, you’ll return to the studio for a private Photo Presentation led by an Experience Ambassador. They will guide you through options for purchasing prints, gifts, digitals, and more.
Q. Does CADY Offer Retakes?
A. Yes, we offer complimentary retakes if you’re not 100% satisfied with your portraits. You can visit cady.com/account to schedule your retake session.

Senior Photo Prep

1-2 Months Before

• Book your session (choose location, date, and time)
• Start planning your outfits, hairstyle, and props
• Avoid getting obvious tan lines

1 Week Before Your Session

• Have your hair cut and/or colored, with your hairstyle planned
• Pack your outfits. We recommend 1 outfit for each scene
• Have clean, freshly manicured nails for your session
• Practice some poses so you know what works best for you

1 Day Before Your Session

• Confirm studio location in your session confirmation email
• Get plenty of sleep the night before so you look well-rested
• Make sure your outfits are wrinkle-free (iron or steamed)
• Pack your outfits, jewelry, and other accessories
• Pack your undergarments for your Yearbook and Cap & Gown scenes
• Drape: spaghetti strap/strapless tank top
• Tux: white undershirt
• Pack a make-up bag or hair supplies for touch-ups

Day of Your Session

• Check for traffic to ensure you arrive on time
• Bring snacks and drinks
