Within the Dance Magnet program, Lakeview Centennial has an exclusive performance group for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. LCDC (Lakeview Centennial Dance Company) performs at various times throughout the year and also attends a yearly international dance convention. Separate auditions are held at the end of every school year. All students interested in auditioning for LCDC have to be accepted into the Dance Magnet program first.

Dance Director

Christal Post, Dance Magnet Coordinator

The Dance Magnet Program is under the direction of Christal Post. Mrs. Post began dancing at the young age of 2 and has not stopped since! At the age of 11, she began to seriously study ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. Her favorite kind of dance is ballet and she loves to teach her students the benefits of ballet. Mrs. Post graduated from Naaman Forest High School and is an alumni of Southern Methodist University. She received a full scholarship to SMU and earned her BFA in Dance Performance. Mrs. Post danced professionally with the Bruce Wood Dance Company in Fort Worth, TX, and the Thodos Dance Company in Chicago, IL. She is very excited to be at LCHS and to be the director of such a wonderful Dance Program! She would like to thank her husband, Jeff for being so supportive and the three lights of her life, Adelynn, Carter and Emersynn.
