Principal
Greetings! I am Lauren Jeffries, the new Principal of Liberty Grove Elementary School! It is with great excitement that I am looking forward to the new school year! I look forward to partnering with the dedicated staff and community at Liberty Grove Elementary to continue to provide the very best educational environment for each of our students. I am also eager to collaborate with you as we work together to ensure success for every child, every day.
I’m truly enthusiastic to serve Liberty Grove Elementary in this capacity and to continue my journey as an educator. My dedication to the students of Garland ISD began in 2017. I also served in neighboring Mesquite ISD for many years before joining Garland ISD. I previously served as the assistant principal at Glen B. Couch Elementary for five years and for the last two years, I served as Principal at Freeman Elementary.
As Principal, my vision for Liberty Grove Elementary is to prepare and motivate students in an ever changing environment and equip them with critical thinking skills, demonstrate respect for core values, and display success for today and in the future. With a strong commitment to these ideas, we can make our school and community the best place to be!

Assistant Principal
I’m elated and thankful to be the assistant principal at Liberty Grove Elementary. I love being part of such a warm, welcoming, and caring school family that puts the whole child and student success above everything else.
Our students, staff, parents, families, and community stakeholders will continue to work together to provide the best possible learning environment and future learning opportunities for all of our students.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. In addition, I received my Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2016.
Prior to becoming an assistant principal, I served as an instructional design facilitator for one year in Garland ISD and an instructional support teacher for four years at Davis Elementary School in Garland ISD. I also taught Kindergarten for six years at Shugart Elementary School in Garland ISD and 3rd grade for one year at Pirrung Elementary School in Mesquite ISD.
My amazing husband, Chris, and I have been married since 2012, and we are both administrators in Garland ISD. We have two beautiful daughters named Emery and Juliette and a sweet puppy named Astro. We’re both avid University of Texas at Austin sports fans, love to travel, and enjoy spending time with our family and friends.
