Policies & procedures

For the safety of the children, you must always have your child's Student ID# and teacher's name when contacting the school.

Please review our Parent-School Learning Compact.

Please review our Campus Improvement Plan.

Consistent attendance is not only crucial to your child's education, but also the law in the State of Texas. Poor attendance can directly contribute to poor academic performance and potential failure. It is the responsibility of both the school and the home to establish a good attendance record. Good attendance is a must in order to receive the maximum benefit from education.

Learn about how the Texas Compulsory Attendance Law can impact you and your student.

Incentives will be in place for students who are consistently at school on time and who have exemplary attendance.

Please take a moment to watch this video from the GarlandISD regarding attendance.

If your child is absent, please send a note to the office the day he/she returns to school. Notes can be given to the teacher or office staff. You may also email the excuse to the note to Ms. Martinez in the office. Please make sure to include your child's teacher's name and the student ID number on the absence note.

Partial absences
