Read across America week

March 6th - March 10

Read Across America is a program of the National Education Association.  It was established to create and celebrate a nation of diverse readers.  At Lister, we have Read Across America Week each March to celebrate our readers! Read Across America Week 2023 includes literacy themed dress up days and our Family Literacy Night March 8th from 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Launch Pad (in front of school): Reading with Rodney Bus (students and parents can check out books) and Kona Ice Truck (families can purchase a yummy treat)

Space Souvenirs (entry): Families can sign in and get a free bag for all of their goodies!

Rocket Readers (music room/stage): Rotating readers every twenty minutes.  A schedule of readers will be posted and families can come and listen to a story.

Story Space Walk (main hallway): space themed book along the wall for families to read together

Space Station (gym): At least 7 stations with literacy activities.

Satellites (tables in hall)  1. Decorate a bookmark              2. Book giveaway

Mission Control (library): There will be baskets of books (in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese) for families to find a cozy place in the library and read together.
