PBIS System

What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. It is an evidence-based framework used by schools to improve school culture and student behavior, promoting a safe learning environment. PBIS is based on several decades of research by major universities across the country. A key aspect of PBIS is to focus more on positive behaviors and less on negative ones. 

Lister Choir

Our Elementary School Choir is led by our wonderful music teacher, Mr Gordon. The choir meets every Wednesday morning to practice singing, teamwork, and musical skills. Choir members work hard to prepare songs that they perform at special school events and sometimes in the community. Being part of the choir is a fun way for students to share their voices, build confidence, and spread joy through music.

Soccer club

We are so excited for you to join our first-ever LIster after-school Soccer Club led by Mrs. DeLaRosa. Lister was chosen to receive a special Atletico Dallas Soccer Grant from the Garland ISD Education Foundation.

We are still working on the details and will be in full swing in the fall of 2026. At the moment, we are gathering interest to see how many students would like to participate. Final details will be shared soon. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our new Soccer Club.
