There are many ways you can volunteer through our PTA.

The opportunities are endless, but perhaps the most important way you can support Lister's PTA is by joining. You may join online at: www.joinpta.org or make a check payable to Lister Elementary PTA. The annual membership dues per member are $10.

Garden

Lister's gardens are growing, and could use your help. This year, with the help of a grant from Garland Education Foundation, each grade level has been given a garden bed to grow anything they choose with the expectation of maintaining a healthy garden. Our Fall garden party started us off in the right direction by filling each bed with rich soil and the capability for magical things to come.

You could volunteer by:

signing up to be a "garden parent"
help maintain by watering, fertilizing, weeding etc.
maintain gardens during the summer months

Volunteer appreciation

As a way of saying "thank you", we have an appreciation breakfast for all of our volunteers at the end of the year. Whether you are on our PTA board, or simply helped out on a field trip, we are thankful for your support.

How to volunteer

Apply

Anyone who would like to volunteer must:

provide a photo ID to the front office
complete an online application and upload a copy of your photo ID

The online application can be completed at home or the main office of any campus.

What happens next?

A background check will be performed using the Raptor Volunteer Management System.
You will receive an email to notify you when you may begin volunteering.
