Welcome to your Luna Art Room!

Meet your art teacher

My name is Mrs. Duncan and I have been teaching for 18 years. This is my 5th year here in Garland ISD and I absolutely love it here!

When I am not in the art room, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, growing things, playing with my dogs, creating all kinds of projects and reading. It is a true joy and blessing to be able to watch kids create, learn and grow everyday!

Throughout the year, students are exposed to and work with an array of art styles and mediums. They will have a chance to learn about artist expression, styles, history, and make real world connections. Students will create artworks using all kinds of mediums including paint, collage, oil pastel, fiber, and more. The art room is a peaceful, safe learning environment where students can challenge themselves and take creative initiative.

Art shows and contests

Throughout the year student art is exhibited at various art shows and campus events. Students have opportunities to participate in art contests and exhibits that showcase student work in the community.
