The 1:1 program provides students with access to digital learning resources including online textbooks, creation, communication, collaboration and productivity tools. This program is standard for all Garland ISD students. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the variety of digital learning resources that they have access to in their classes.

Ethical use of AI

Artificial intelligence is here to stay, so our teachers are working with students to teach them the ethical use of AI. Dr. Hutchinson and Ms. Black planned an interactive AI lesson in the library, where students worked in groups to form appropriate questions to ask ChatGPT. They read fascinating facts about the Lunar New Year and practiced summarizing the information. Additionally, they practiced other skills such as writing, note-taking, and using AI to translate messages into different languages. This was an exciting lesson, and we are looking forward to more collaborations.
