Principal - Erin Pacheco 

Montclair Family,

I am so excited to continue serving our Montclair community as principal.  As well as instruction, the health, and safety of our students and families are my top priorities.  Montclair is a tradition-rich school with families and staff that are dedicated to student success.   Student success depends on creating partnerships between home and school.  One of my goals is to continue to grow that relationship this year and in the years to come.  Our students deserve the best educational opportunities provided by high-quality teachers that are passionate about meeting student needs.  I am also committed to continuing to develop our team to serve you and your children at the highest levels possible.    

In my 15 years as an educator, I have served as a 3rd and 4th-grade teacher, Campus Interventionist and Assistant Principal.  My passion is to develop lifelong learners through experiences that apply to the real world.  I want to help students see their potential and strive for excellence in their own lives.  I believe in building student self-confidence and teaching them to advocate for their needs.  

I enjoy spending time with my husband and twin sons when I am not at school.  We enjoy spending time outside, playing soccer, reading books, and playing with our dog, Penny.  

I know that this is just the beginning of a wonderful journey together and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.  I know that we will continue to count on one another for support through these challenging times.  Although we are facing uncharted territories, we will come out of it better together.

Assistant Principal - Maribel Diaz

My name is Maribel Diaz and I am excited to join the Montclair Elementary staff as assistant principal. It is an honor to become part of a community that is rich in tradition and drive for student success. Born and raised in El Paso, TX, I attended the University of Texas at El Paso where I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees. During my time in El Paso, I worked as an ESL teacher and a bilingual specialist. 

After, I relocated to the Dallas area and began my work as a sheltered instruction specialist in the Garland Independent School District. I now start my journey as your assistant principal where my goal is to work closely with the community in growing students to the best of their ability. 

During my free time, I enjoy spending time at home with my two puppies Kuzco and Luna. I look forward to working with you all and let's have an amazing school year! 

 

Counselor - Bindu Kandyil

Hello Montclair Family,

I am so excited to continue working as a Counselor and be a part of the Montclair family.  I bring over 20 years of National and International classroom experience as an Educator, Administrator and a Counselor with diverse group of learners.

My Mission is to provide guidance programs and counseling services to all students in a way that promotes academic success, personal and social growth and college and career readiness.

My Vision is to serve as an advocate for all students, equipping every student with skills to enable them to reach their highest potential in a diverse society.

As an Elementary Counselor, I like to establish a therapeutic relationship with the child through acceptance, trust and empathy and provide children with an opportunity to express and process feelings at their own level and pace. I aspire to work together with staff, students and the community to create a clean, safe, positive and supportive learning environment!

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy spending my quality time with my Kids & family, Reading, cooking and Gardening.
