- Students go to the library once a week and are given the opportunity to select a book.
- Books must either be returned or rechecked within five days of checkout.
- If a student has not returned his/her books for the week, he/she will not be able to check any more out during library time.
- Students wishing to check out books outside of their library time must carry a library pass.
Texas Bluebonnet Books - Each year, Texas students in 3rd-5th grade have the opportunity to read and vote for their favorite book from a list of 20 selected titles. A student must read at least 5 of the 20 books to vote. Montclair’s votes are then combined with the rest of Texas’ votes to determine the Bluebonnet State Award winner. This allows students the opportunity to use their reading skills to be part of something big, something only school-age children may participate in.
