About Mrs. Ariza

Hello, Roadrunners!   I am so excited about the teachers, students, families and community that I get to serve in the capacity of Assistant Principal at Montclair Elementary School. One of my goals is building relationships and engaging our #RoadRunners in order to grow strong scholars with an intrinsic motivation toward learning and excellence. In order to serve the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students, we need to maintain a safe, trusting, and caring environment for our students, staff, parents and community members. My second goal is to provide continued support to teachers who need access to high-quality resources to contribute to ever-improving instructional practices that guide each one of our students to meet and exceed their individual potential. I am eager to work as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

I bring to Montclair over 18 years of experience as an educator. The past 10 years have been in Garland ISD, most recently as an Instructional Design Facilitator and 4th/5th grade Math & Science teacher at Beaver Technology Center. I also served as an English as an Additional Language teacher at Shanghai American School in China, and English Literature teacher in Middle and High School at Los Portales IB School in Bogotá, Colombia.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two daughters. My oldest daughter graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington where she earned a degree in Nursing. My second daughter will be a sophomore in High School in the fall.

Understanding that community is the essence of a successful school, I look forward to building positive and trusting relationships while continuing the best practices that are reflective of Montclair Elementary School. Our school houses a community of committed faculty and staff members who are driven by the success of our students. I am privileged to be a part of such an amazing team. I look forward to working with you and your children! Please come see me if I can help you in any way.
