The Math, Science, and Technology Program at North Garland High School is designed to prepare high achieving students for advancement in an ever-changing, technological world. Students are exposed to an integrated curriculum that focuses on problem-solving and practical applications of math and science which better prepares them for college or employment.

Accelerated Math & Science Magnet
The Accelerated Math & Science Magnet program provides students the opportunity to advance faster, allowing more math and science classes to be completed throughout high school.

Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a schoolwide college readiness program that offers a structured, rigorous curriculum. AVID prepares students to develop deep content knowledge, utilize specific strategies for reading, writing, thinking and speaking. Students learn to develop habits and behaviors to be college ready.

P-TECH is a new program beginning in the 2020-2021 school year. P-TECH, Pathways in Technology Early College High School, is a program where students will earn a high school diploma, an industry recognized associate degree, and gain relevant work experience.
At North Garland, our P-TECH partners include Dallas County Community College and industry representatives in the Medical and Computer Networking sectors.
