Beginning on Monday, November 27, 2023 

Our North Garland Soccer program would like to invite anyone interested in playing to tryouts.  

Tryouts will begin on, Monday November 27th, at 3:10 pm. 

Students who have completed all 7 of the UIL forms and have had a physical this year will be permitted to participate in the tryout process.  

We carry three teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman, and each team may have as many as 27 players.

Tryout Requirements

Student-athletes and parents/guardians:

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) ​requires student-athlete to have 2023-2024 physical examination each school year. 

A medical history form is also required for this current school year of 2023-2024. The medical history form can be filled out on ​Rank One ​along with the other UIL forms. 

THESE FORMS MUST BE ON FILE PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION IN ANY PRACTICE, SCRIMMAGE, PERFORMANCE OR CONTEST BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER SCHOOL.

If you have any questions pertaining to the Medical History or any of the other UIL forms, please contact Cody Montgomery, boys’ athletic trainer, at cbmontgo@garlandisd.net. He can be found in the Field House, in the trainers room.​

Forms:

In the dark blue strip is the "download and print" button.  Make sure you and a parent or guardian sign all of the required signature blocks on the medical history form!  

In the dark blue strip is the "Electronic Participation Forms" button.  You need to make sure you and your parent sign and selects the "I agree" box.  

Use your GISD email address so that you get a notice of completion. 

All UIL forms require the signatures and I agree box check.

Tryouts start November 27th!  The Monday we get back from the Thanksgiving holiday week.  Complete the required online forms as early as possible and email our athletic trainer so that he may verify you're forms are completely filled out and ready to participate.  

Tryout Details

Boys will meet on the concrete pad behind the field house at 3:10 pm. You will need to bring cleats, a water jug, and appropriate clothing depending on the weather. Tryouts will last at most 90 minutes.
