School spirit & history

Park Crest Elementary School was built in 1961. It has grown with its neighborhood through several additions and renovations, the latest taking place in 2016. Our campus serves the Garland community and is reflective of the city's ethnic and economic make-up.

Park Crest is a school where students of many cultures and nationalities come together in the common pursuit of learning. Our teachers are a strong group of professionals with a variety of styles, experiences, and backgrounds. There is an instructional strength in this variety that benefits our students.

Finally, the Park Crest staff believes in finding the best in each child. We believe success comes from building on the strengths and talents of each individual. We are committed to helping students find success in an environment that is supportive of each child's needs and abilities. The development of appropriate skills is critical to the development of each child's future. We also believe that sound instruction in Reading is at the core of every successful school experience.
