Each child will check out one book for the first semester. For the spring semester, students may choose two books. The books will come home in a plastic bag with the child’s name and barcode. We ask that parents and students make sure that bag is returned with the book.

The importance of reading

If a child reads for 20 minutes every day, they are exposed to about 1.8 million words of text every year. That is 137 new words per minute!
