Library goal

Our goal in the Parsons Library is to create a love for books and reading in our students and parents to become lifelong learners.

Each child will check out one book for the first semester. For the spring semester, students may choose two books. The books will come home in a plastic bag with the child’s name and barcode. We ask that parents and students make sure that bag is returned with the book.

The importance of reading

If a child reads for 20 minutes every day, they are exposed to about 1.8 million words of text every year. That is 137 new words per minute!
