All about AFJROTC
Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) educates and trains high school cadets in the areas of leadership, community service, teamwork, communication, responsibility, personal accountability, and character. The entire curriculum is grounded in the Air Force Core Values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
AFJROTC is a single blocked academic class, and physical education (PE) credit is awarded for enrollment and participation in the program. Students accepted into AFJROTC incur NO commitment to serve in the military. Students interested can work with their respective counselor or let our instructor team know. A quick review of the interested student's academic and disciplinary history will be completed prior to acceptance. Any questions may be directed to the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Brett Gooden at bjgooden@garlandisd.net.
