Good evening RHS families:
I hope you stayed warm this weekend! Brrr...
Cycle 2 report cards will be mailed later this week. I reiterated to our students via the intercom on Friday that we are in a new semester. Some of our students who were not successful in classes last fall will have to do credit recovery this spring in order to get graduation credit on their transcript and stay on track to graduate on time. Things are very different these days, but we cannot award credit to students who are not participating in classes, learning the material and passing their classes. Please be involved, check grades, and push your children to take care of their responsibilities even though we are going through a very difficult time. We must keep our kids on track to graduate on time.
Most students stay on track better when they are in classes face-to-face where teachers can help and motivate. Contact us if you are interested in moving them to face-to-face instruction.
For all things Rowlett, please see the rest of this Monday memo, our website and follow us on Twitter (@RHS_Eagles), Instagram (RHS_Eagles2), or Facebook (@gisdrowletthighschool).
As always, please contact your child's teacher, counselor, our office, your assistant principal or myself if you have any questions. Have a great week!
Mrs. Blakey, Principal
Honored to serve the students and staff of Rowlett High School
