PARENTS OF 9TH, 10TH, AND 11TH GRADE STUDENTS:
Rowlett High School will be administering the PSAT/NMSQT for all 9th, 10th & 11th-grade students on October 14th during the school day. Unfortunately, College Board is not approving any PSAT tests to be taken remotely. If your child is a remote learner and they are taking the PSAT on October 14 on campus, they can be dropped off in the rear of the school between the gym entrance and the student parking lot between 7:00 and 7:15 am. Students will be released to report to their testing locations at 7:15 am. If they are driving to school and do not have a parking pass, they need to park on Row H, I, or J (only use J if H and I are full).
ALL 12TH GRADE STUDENTS AND REMOTE 9TH-11TH GRADE STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT TAKING THE PSAT:
On Wednesday, October 14, we will be PSAT testing 9-11th grade students. Students who are NOT taking the PSAT are allowed on campus between 7:30 am and 2:50 pm. However, in order to be counted present for the day, all students not taking the test must log on to your A2 class and complete the CCMR assignment for the day. This is the only class that you will have for 10/14. If you do not fill out the form that is posted in your A2 teacher's Canvas, you will be counted absent for the day.
The PSAT test is a huge benefit to our GISD students. Many students have to pay to take this test, but for college and career readiness purposes, GISD pays for ALL 9th-11th grade students to take the test. College Board will not allow for any students to take the PSAT remotely, so you must be on campus to take the test. You don't want to miss this opportunity!
