Mrs. Stefanie Cooper is finishing her fourth year as Director of the Silver Rhythm Dancers. She is a lifelong dancer and veteran to the dance and drill team world. She has directed dancers all across the Metroplex including Irving ISD, Plano ISD, and Frisco ISD. This marks her 20th year in public education.
Stefanie and her husband Scott are both high school educators that have a passion for growing leaders. They love spending time outside of directing and coaching trying to keep up with their three energetic boys. The Cooper boys are the SRD's biggest fans and are fondly called SRDudes!
Using her experience as a Texas State University Strutter, she has brought a refreshing focus on technique and advanced performance style back to the Silver Rhythm Dancers. Mrs. Cooper has a unique directing style that embraces the dancer as a whole and focuses not only on the dance ability, but the emotional development of the dancer. Dancers grow into strong leaders, performers, and students in the Silver Rhythm Dancer program at Rowlett High School.
The Silver Rhythm Dancers were founded in 1996 and many of the original traditions still stand today. The SRDs perform locally at varsity football games, varsity basketball games, at GISD elementary and middle schools, and at community events. They have also performed all over the state of Texas. Each year, our season concludes at our annual Silver Rhythm Revue held in April.
