Greetings!
I am so blessed to be principal at Routh Roach Elementary. I am originally from Peru, grew up in France and lived in Canada before I moved to Dallas. Before moving into administration, I taught Pre-K, kindergarten, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Bilingual in GISD. I have served the students and communities of the Garland Independent School District as the assistant principal at Caldwell & Southgate Elementary. I am very passionate about education and doing what is best for kids!
On a more personal note, I’ve been blessed with a beautiful family! My wonderful husband keeps me strong and our children are the reason why we smile every day! We enjoy traveling, love learning from other cultures, biking, swimming and watching movies together!
I look forward to a successful year here at Routh Roach Elementary! I could not ask for a better place to work!

I am thrilled and honored for the opportunity to serve the students, families and colleagues that make up the creative environment here at Routh Roach Elementary. After 15 years as a bilingual teacher and special education instructor in the Garland ISD, I’m excited to help enhance the education experience at Roach Elementary as Assistant Principal.
Garland ISD has been an important part of my life for more than 15 years. The district was instrumental in facilitating my arrival in Texas in 2006. I taught first, second and third grades over the course of over 10 years at Park Crest Elementary School. After securing several certifications, I was blessed to work in special education in recent years, working one-on-one with students at multiple campuses across Garland. Having worked in these roles and collaborated with teachers and parents across the district, I’m looking forward to building upon these experiences and relationships in my new role.
I was born and raised outside Mexico City, and I’m proud of my Peruvian-Mexican heritage. I earned my undergraduate degree at Franco-Mexicana University in Mexico, and my Masters’ Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Lamar University here in Texas.
Beyond my educational career, I enjoy a rich and vibrant family life. My three children are amazing in multiple ways. My youngest daughter is in college today, my oldest girl is a nurse working in a large Healthcare System, and my son is using his bachelors degree in a national financial institution. I enjoy gatherings with family on all the major holidays, and have been lucky enough to do some traveling in recent years.
I am proud to serve parents, students, teachers and the entire Routh Roach Elementary community!
