Assistant Principal - Kristin Stevens

My name is Kristin Stevens, and I have been in education for 24 years.  I was raised in Abilene, Texas before heading to Baylor University to get my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  I then earned my Master’s degree in Education Administration from Dallas Baptist University.  I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade and Fourth Grade.

I have been married to my husband for 24 years and have two daughters.  Berry is 20 years old and is a student at Texas Tech.  Charleigh is 17 years old and is a senior at Wylie East High School.  I also have two fur children - Coco Chanel (yorkie) and Ford (black lab).  I love to read, complete jigsaw puzzles, travel and relax at our lake house at Possum Kingdom Lake.

I love watching students grow and learn new things.  I believe all students can learn no matter the expectations placed on them.  Students here at Rowlett Elementary will be challenged and celebrated all year.  I encourage a growth mindset in which we all learn from our mistakes and think positively about our future.  I am looking forward to a great year.  Go Bobcats!
